Baked cinnamon pears with oat topping

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Makes: 4 servings

Makes a great dessert or snack during the day.

Ingredients

peeled and sliced pears (about 3 medium pears) 625 mL 2 ½ cups
cinnamon 0.5 mL 1/8 tsp
Topping:
old fashioned rolled oats 125 mL ½ cup
cinnamon 0.5 mL 1/8 tsp
maple syrup 15 mL 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F (180º C).
  2. In a medium sized baking dish* add the pears and the cinnamon.
  3. In a bowl combine the oats cinnamon and maple syrup. Scatter over the pears.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve hot or cold.

    This recipe can also be made in 4 individual ramekins.
