Cole, from Kingsville, submitted this recipe. Bananas are a wonderful way to start your day in this smoothie. With the addition of nut butter and tofu, you will get added protein and a great nutty flavour.

Tips

  1. Pour this smoothie into an empty ice cube container. Add a few cubes to your next smoothie or blend it up for a fun twist on ice cream.

Ingredients

Almond milk beverage or milk

1 cup (250 mL)

Soft (silken) tofu

1/2 cup (125 mL)

Frozen banana

1

Peanut or other nut butter

1 Tbsp (15 mL)

Directions

  1. Wash hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.  Clean all countertops and equipment used for food preparation.
  2. In a blender combine almond milk, tofu, banana and peanut butter. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve chilled.
