Developed as part of Ontario’s Action Plan for Healthy Eating and Active Living, Busy Bodies and Eat Right Be Active were developed to assist parents and caregivers to introduce and support healthy eating and physical activity for young children.

Busy Bodies aims to help parents/caregivers bring healthy eating and physical activity to life with preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, by encouraging a variety of experiences presented in an easy-to-use “activity card”.

Eat Right Be Active

A guide for parents and caregivers of preschoolers ages 3 to 5 complements the BusyBodies activity card set. Topics covered include: how much food to offer; suggested ideas for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner; feeding challenges; active living ideas to do together; and sample activities to build physical skills.

A guide for parents and caregivers of children ages 6 to 8 provides information and tips to support parents and caregivers to help ensure that children have access to environments that support healthy eating and physical activity at school and in the community as well as at home.

Both Eat Right Be Active booklets feature interactive quizzes, “Good to Know” tips on almost every page, and a list of places to go for more information.
